Effective March 16, 2020.
The new Standard Order will change the state’s rules regarding overtime, minimum wage, and working conditions expectations.
This new order will include expanding coverage to all employers accepting public entities. This entails that employers in Colorado are now required to provide paid rest breaks, unpaid rest breaks, and to pay overtime at 12 hours in a workday or 12 consecutive hours regardless of the workday.
In addition to the change(s), all Colorado employers must post this poster in an area frequented by employees where it may be easily read during the work day.
To view the full size poster, all of the complete adopted rules, rule-making documents, and additional information, visit Colorado’s Official State and Web Topic page regarding this topic.
